Love the tailgate sturdy and strong,the only thing that should be in the package and isn't for a 2013 F-150 Ford the passenger side bushing is not included in the kit. U have to buy it from other sources.

I love this tailgate!!! It was a snap to install. It fit perfectly without any adjustments. It is very snug around the striker bolts, does not wiggle at all!! very impressed. Thank you!!

Solid construction with clean welds. Nice paint job. Curves match truck exactly. Hinge. Mounting slavers could be made better. Right side bushing not supplied. Had to use old worn out bushing from original tailgate. Lighter & less expensive than many other metal 5th wheel tailgates. Glad we got this one!¡

Thin wall tubing dents easily, whole unit flexes. Rattles, rust in many weld areas. Have had to wire brush rust and repaint twice. Very cheap, would NOT buy again OR recommend.

2010 Ford F-150
Ordered this item to replace the factory tailgate (due to damage), on my father's 2010 F150. I ordered it Monday, it arrived two days later,(Wednesday).
It took me longer to remove the original, (mainly due to the factory back up camera wiring and mud),than it took me to install the new one.
The instructions were a little vauge about the right side pivot hardware, but it was no major issue to me.
It looks good, it fit good, and he's happy with it, and that's all that matters to me.

Impressive. Lightweight. Easy to install. Only issue is in the alignment. Need to make a minor mod to make flush with taillights.

2005 Ford F-150
Fits well little confused about the pvc pieces. Installation instructions are a little bit confusing although I am a little familiar with metal working so figured out how it would work for me. Still not sure how to attach cables to hold in open position as only plan on using 4 to 5 months a year don't want to take my cables off original tailgate

2008 Ford F-150
This tailgate is exactly what we wanted. It was very easy to install, and looks great on our truck. It also makes it very easy to back the truck up to the trailer because it gives better visibility.
Etrailer was great to work with. The item was on back order and they stayed in touch with us until it shipped. I would definitely recommend them.

Tailgate arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. Assembly was easy and with minor adjustments installation was completed within an hour. Tail gate has performed well and looks good. i would purchase again from etrailer.

The Product looked good the Air Gate was built with heaver materials than I thought it would be, which was great. But, UPS handling was terrible all four corners where bent had to use a hammer and body dolly to straighten out the corners and the powder coating cracked do to the bends being so sharp, plus one corner has the powder coating scratched off. So,the VG-04-100 is a good product, UPS Shipping and Handling SUCKS.

Great tailgate system. The installation video made it a snap to assemble and attach to my truck.No problems with it at all and I think it will be perfect for the application I needed it for, and with proper care and maintenance it should serve me well for a long time to come.

2005 Ford F-150
The tailgate arrived in good condition and looks great. I did have to get a kit to take up some of the slop with the bushings that were provided. That said, the taigate installed easily, but more intuitively than because of the clarity of the instructions. I was disappointed that there was no way to attach tailgate cables for support in the open position. Otherwise, it looks great on my truck and will serve the intended purpose.

this was my 3rd flow thru tail gate and was the least expensive of the 3.And as far as i am concerned the best looking one. One suggestion i might add was to have it configured to hold the rear view camera that is on the later model Ford 150s. I had to disable my camera.

Works great as sold. I've had no problems and it fits perfectly. The packaging was dinged upon arrival but I blame the carrier for that. Rubber mallet and a good swing fixed the slight dent it had. Would definitely buy again if required.

I haven't mounted it yet but it appears to be very strong and solid. I found the video on the etrailer.com site to be very helpful in making my decision on what to purchase. 2013 Ford F-150
Packaging for this product is poor. Received with small damage to sheet metal on one corner. Other than stretch rap, there is nothing to protect either end from damage if package is drop on short corner. A competent packaging engineer would add some sort of shock absorbing material on these corners. I used some pliers to bend the damage metal back into position not wanting to take the extra time to ship it back. Other than that, installation was simple and straight forward.

Went together well. Two issues I had. Make the instructions more visual than reading. Last issue was the stock cables. The package did not come with a nut to mount the cables to the new tailgate.

Its a good tailgate, it needs welded solid down the ends so it holds more weight, whichbi did myself.
